I realize that most of my subscribers/readers/fans are students, teachers, and librarians, but this post is strictly for those who, like me, take their writing pretty seriously.

Over at YAtopia, they’re having a contest where writers of YA/MG fiction can offer an elevator pitch to agent Bree Ogden of Martin Literary Management. The winner will have his/her entire manuscript read by Ms. Ogden, and runners up will be able to send Ms. Ogden a partial (that’s usually the first two or three chapters, depending on what the agent prefers). It’s a sweet opportunity for writerly types like me! Watch for my pitch on YAtopia!
